These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TicketPrep (the "Service"), operated by TicketPrep ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
01What TicketPrep is
TicketPrep is an independent online study platform that provides practice questions and mock exams to help you prepare for Canadian skilled-trade certification exams. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Red Seal Program, the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship, the Government of Canada, or any provincial or territorial certifying authority. References to "Red Seal" and to trade codes are descriptive only, to identify the exams our material helps you study for.
02Study aid only — no guarantee
Our questions are original practice items written against publicly available occupational standards. They are a study aid, not official exam questions, and we do not sell or reproduce real exam content. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing any exam, and our content is not professional, legal, safety, or trade advice. While we work to keep content accurate, it may contain errors — always defer to your official training materials, employer procedures, and applicable regulations.
03Eligibility and your account
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for individual use — do not share your login. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
04Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, republish, resell, or redistribute our questions, explanations, or other content;
- share, sell, or transfer your account or access to premium content;
- attempt to access the Service or its data by any means other than the interface we provide, or interfere with or disrupt the Service;
- use the Service to build or train a competing product or dataset.
05Intellectual property
All content on the Service — including questions, answer explanations, text, design, and software — is owned by TicketPrep or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the content for your own exam preparation. All other rights are reserved. Trademarks referenced on the Service are the property of their respective owners.
06Purchases, pricing and access
Some features require a paid plan. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and may change; the price shown at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. Paid access is provided for the period described at checkout (for example, Exam Pass and All-Access each grant access for 120 days from the date of purchase, as shown on the pricing page and at checkout). Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe — we do not receive or store your full card details. You are responsible for any applicable taxes unless we state otherwise.
07Refunds
Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
08Disclaimers
The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is complete or current.
09Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TicketPrep and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any exam outcome. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm or legal exposure. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
11Changes to these Terms or the Service
We may update these Terms or the Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
